BF Goodrich Mud Terrain TA KM

What does everyone think of these tires. I am looking at getting some 35x12.5x18 for my oem rims and trying to hear some peoples pros and cons before i dive in on a tire. Let me know how the ride is, the noise, the change in pickup with them, the wear and tear, and the look? I am taking everything into consideration. Please let me know. Thank you!!

35" tires will not fit on that truck without you doing some rubbing. Your factory rims ar a 7.5 inches wide which will make the tire a 36x11.00-18. You would be better with a 285/65-18 tire.

expanding upon FX4EVB's post- they will fit, but at full crank you will rub your upper & lower control arms- its minor, but it does occur. Ive got pics in my gallery, or you can find my post down in 04-06 about 35's with only a 2.5" autospring. other than that- you're just fine- i run my 35x12.5R18 on stock rims at 40 psi front and back and have had perfect wear for the past 8,000 miles. if you dont want rub, drop down to a 33x12.5 or the 325/60R18 <-- thats 13" wide though. or the 285/65R18

I agree with BalogUK, they will fit with a leveling kit. As a general rule with a leveling kit on the new 4x4 F-150's, you can fit 35's with the OEM wheels or 33's with aftermarket wheels.

Thank you all. I have a 4x2 actually, but am waiting to put the tires on until december when i get a 6" fabtech lift. Would it then still rub on the OEM rims or no?

Maybe not in the city or highway, but it's possible. If you go off-road any, you will pick up alot of rock/gravel. If you go with those M/T's, you should definatley consider some fender flares for paint/body protection. I think that would look badazz with a slight lift and bigger tires IMO. They make different sizes with longer/shorter fender overhang. Whichever you prefer. You could get some like BalogUK has. That'd problably work fine.

BFG MT is a great tire, great looks but you'll only get about 20,000 miles from them. I had them on my stock 7.5" FX4 rims with the 2.5" autospring with no rubbing and kept them on when I put the Rancho lift on. I am adding a 3" body lift with 37" BFG AT's on 20" rims so the tires will have to go, I just can't justify $1200 every 20,000 miles (I'm hoping the AT's will last 40,000-50,000) Look at my gallery to see what they look like on the FX4 rims.

Good info. You'll you'll get more miles out of a set of A/T'S, than you will M/T's. Unless you go places a tank would get stuck in, I'd get some A/T's. JMHO.

I think you may be able to order some stock FX4 fender "gaurds" from the dealer if you want to keep a clean look. They should do the trick. Bushwacker flares will work too. It just depends on what you like.

any idea a price on the fx4 fender guards, and are they installed with 3m tape or how do they fit?? I think a clean factory look may be the best and easiest.
I have read the mts get as much or more wear life to them, i have heard anywhere from 60-100k no real issue, and they are as quiet if not quieter than the at's so there are not many cons and they have a much more agressive look to them. It is all personal preference, and what you want out of them, but from my stance and the situation i am in, i think the MT's will do the trick, i also want the grip for towing the boat, and when i take it out west in the mudd.
