Centerline wheels and terrible customer service..AVOID THEM
Well after waiting three weeks for my supposedly "custom" rims to my specifications, I got a call that my rims were in. Immediately plans ran through my head to leave work early rush home and get those new beauties put on. Well before I could even get off the phone, the bad news hit. I ordered 18x9.5 wheels with a 6" backspace (as close to stock as possible since the a$$clown at centerline said they only do 1/2" increments even though other fellow L owners have gotten 5.75" backspacing done from them). The wheels that centerline made and shippd from California were made with a 5" backspace (this puts the wheel too far out from the fender well). When I called Centerline and asked why the wheels weren't made to my specifications I was given the "They won't work on a lightning with 6" backspacing we made them to the factory 5" backspace." My question was why didn't you call and inquire ? are you guys so stupid that a wheel company doesn't know the lightning factory backspace is 5.8". After this conversation Louie said ok send them back and we will cut them apart and redo the backspacing. WHAT ? cut my brand new $2400 rims apart and redo them ? I want brand new rims which go through the welding heat cycle once not weld, cut, grind, weld again, grind again, polish again. All this after I have already waited three weeks for my wheels. Louie, reaaly NO HELP, says ship them back and we should be able to get them back to you in 6 weeks. BULL$h!t. Any suggestions ? Anybody have any supervisory contacts over at Centerline ?
