The AT's or the MT's?

Ok guys. I"m in the market for new tires by the end of the year. I have a few questions if you don't mind. First, I drive mostly on road and live in the city. However, I do have a lake house and almost got stuck last weekend when it rained like no other. Do I go with the AT's or the MT's? I like the look of the MT's but not sure on whether or not I really need them or how loud they are in comparison to the AT's. Which ever way I go, do you think anyone like Four wheel parts will have a buy 3 get the 4th free sale by the end of the year? One last ? Which has a higher tread life? I think it's the AT's for what I think are obvious reasons but just want to make sure. Thanks.

Oh, you probably might want to know that I will be keeping my stock 7.5 x 18's. I'm thinking of getting a 4" lift on my reg. cab. but not sure if it will look funny. What are your thoughts??

My BFG M/T tires are pretty loud. It's a very noticable hum. My wife hates them. I'd say it's as loud as having studded snow tires on.

My Toyo A/T tires are nearly as quiet as all season tires.

Big difference in noise level but the BFG M/T's look better!

MT don't usually do as well in the snow. I recommend AT's. Tend to last longer, better on road performance under all conditions. Also, take a look at Revos.

I was leaning towards the AT's. I've had them before and loved them. Was needing some feedback on the MT's. Now I just hope I can find them for a decent price by the end of the year.

I like my Toyo A/T, nice and quiet and should get you where you want to go.

Yeah, I've heard great stuff about the AT's. THey last forever from what i've heard. I personally like the look of the MT's much better, but if you really don't have much use for a MT, no sense in putting up with the noise, etc..

After market AT`s will do a good job of getting you through the mud.

revo

i had the bridgestone revo's before. AWESOME tires. they did very well on the street and excellent in the snow and rain. very little hum, if you notice at all. they also wear great. they also have a cool sidewall and tread. i would reccomend them for anybody needing an all-terrain/ and street tire.
