Angry Anti lock problem

Has any one had problems with their antilocks? My 99 F150 4wd had a problem with the antilocks comming on for no reason, I took it to my dealer and they replaced the module for over $700 dollars. As of yesterday the same thing is happening. I also have a 93 SHO that is having the same problem. Is there a problem with Fords anti lock system? Any help would be appreciated.

For the SHO, drop by www.shoforum.com and I'll be happy to help you out there. I posted instructions there on how to pull yout ABS codes on the SHO. Look for the sticky at the top of the forum that inclused the Brake system.

Let us know what you find out.

I recently pulled my truck out of storage after a year deployment to OIF. And it's doing the same thing that you describe.

Every once in the while the ABS light will come on. And then the brakes work normally. Almost makes me wish that what ever the problem was it would be bad enough that it would always trip the light.

Got my truck back from the dealer, the 2 sensors on the front wheels had to be replaced. Now the truck stopps like new.

I had a similar problem with my 99 stang I replaced the sensors and it cleared it up but it came back again and a gain until I prelaced the tone ring/bearing assembly doubt the truck is the same but I thought I would throw that out there for you.

O great, now I have something else to worry about with this truck,I thought the brake problem was fixed, now I am getting a ticking noise, sounds like an exhaust leak, it quiets down a bit after it warms up. Might be time to get rid of this old truck.

I also heard an annoying ticking noise in the left manifold area and I thought it was an exhaust leak as well. It does not occur during cold start up but after I driven the truck and let it sit an hour or so. I suspect mechanic would recommend an exhaust manifold replacement and I was not mistaken he said I had mine cracked.
