is there a special tool to adjust the rear emergancy brakes when I pull the rubber plug off of the plate I can see the adjust is there a tool for adjustment or can I just use a screwdriver. Its a 2000 F-150 5.4 4x4 all wheel disc brakes. Thanks for help.

 

I don't exactly get what you're trying to do, but in any case, a screwdriver AND hammer work good. To back off the e brakes, hit them towards the rear. The part that connects to the cable should be cleaned and antisiezed and the brakes gone over well.
