Front wheels dirty

Front wheels dirty

My front wheels get dirty very fast on my 2001 f150. Its not mud or anything its like grease and black. Was just wonderin if thats a sign if something is wrong or if its normal like that. thanks

what exactly does it look like? a pic would help alot. im thinking its just brake dust. it accumulates pretty fast on the wheels. but if its gobs of grease id say CV axle if its a 4x4.

Just sound like brake dust. You should clean your wheels once a week

It's brake dust. It can be fixed by not using your brakes. Ever. Some ceramic pads might help also.

No, it's not a stupid question. Ford uses a pad material that generates an unusual amount of dust. As mentioned, switching to ceramic brake pads will help a lot.
