Rear wheel locking up

Hello. Im just wondering what would cause one of my rear wheels to lock up when it's not supposed to during moderate (like in rain) to heavier than normal braking (any other time.) I do have Rear Wheel ABS and the ABS light isnt on or anything. If I jack up the rear end, both tires spin freely so no adjusting should be needed. I think it's the right rear that locks up. I just don't want to loose precious braking during rain and especially this winter in the snow. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Man, sounds like your brake is grabbing for some reason. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing you have rear disc brakes if you have rear ABS. My guess would be either a malfunctioning ABS System in the rear, or a really really badly warped rotor?? But if your rotor was that badly warped it would shake like crazy as soon as you touch the brake. My money would be on the ABS. Besides, as soon as the wheel locks up, if you have rear ABS and if it is working like it's supposed to, the ABS should let off the brake until that wheel starts to spin again. Hope this helps, but I've not had that specific problem.--DIY

Thanks for the reply! Nice truck ya got, where in NE Ohio are you? No, I have rear drums not disc. It definitely doesnt shake while braking but the harder I brake, the more the truck pulls to the right. Yeah it pulls to the right when I brake alright.

Check the parking brake to see if it is stuck.
