Truck lunges after stepping on the brakes

Once in a while if i have to brake a little harder, the car stops, then i hear a clunk and the truck lunges forward a few feet. It sounds like something is shifting under the truck and feels like the brakes are locking. I'm not really applying that much pressure on the brake pedal when this happens. Anybody have an idea what might be happening?

little knomes are under your truck with hammers beating the driveshaft making it turn. thus your car lurches forward.

the solution? burn it to the ground.

that was a joke by the way.

it is probably the clutch not engaging right. it probably engages and then disengages lurching forward. thats my best guess. if you arent locking your brakes.
