Tire Opinions

Could someone please suggest the best 235/70/16 tire for my 2000 F-150 2WD supercab. This is my first F150 and I'm not sure about the best tires for it.Also,I live in Canada, so am I better off getting snow tires for the winter or will all-seasons be okay?Any help would be appreciated.Thanx.

Take a look at the BF Goodrich All Terrain/KO tires. Excellent in snow. Not as good as a highway tire in summer, but a good compromise if you don't want to have 2 sets of tires.

I probably should of mentioned that I do a lot of driving year round. Around40,000-50,000 kms (25,000-30,000 miles) a year. Would the BF Goodrich All Terrain/KO still be the best tire? Or maybe I should look at 2 sets of tires?

I normally get 40K+ out of a set of the BFGs. YMMV. Then the question would be do you want to buy a set of tires every 2 years or 2 sets every 4 years? A highway type tire would probably be better in rain and on dry road, but the BFG will be better than any "all season" tire in winter.
Myself, I have 2 sets of tires. I use thwe Goodyear At/s that came with the truck in summer and the BFG ATs in winter. The Goodyears just didn't cut for me in the snow.

I don't think you can beat the Michelin LTX series for an all around performer. Especially on the highway.

I had BFGoodrich All-Terrains on a Toyota 4x4 pick-up once and I had about 70,000 miles on them when I sold the truck with minimal wear, but of course the truck weighed as much as a matchbox car. I put another set of BFGoodrich All-Terrains on my current 03 F150, and I love them! I rotate them strictly every 5,000 miles, and after about 20,000 miles or so there is minimal wear. All around great tires!!!
