Mickey Thompson MTZ Wear?

Anyone have any experience with the Mickey Thompson MTZ wear life and ride quality? I'm interested in them because they are not directional, and the 33" will fit my stock 16x7" rim. I'm just wondering how they will wear on the highway?

Thanks,

They are getting good reviews, but they are too new for anyone to have any real milage figures.

Just bought a set of the MTZ's a few weeks ago. I think they are awsome. Aggressive look, low road noise. I do recommend at least a 3in body lift with the 33s. I think the tires look crowded with out a lift. imo

If they are anything like the MTXs, expect about 40-50k out of them on the highway. I have the 33 12.5 x 17.

They're more aggressive.

Mickey Thompson MTZ or Dayton MT

Any more feed back on the MTZ's? I've seen that some more people seem to be talking about them now wonderign if after the last month of riding on them how everyone likes them. I have it down to the MTZ's, BFG MT, or Dayton Timberline MT. I know the Dayton are not as big of a name but one of the shop I talked said people are pleased with them and he thought they lasted longer than the BFG's. Has anyone used Dayton's MT? any feed back?

I have the Mickey Thompson MTZs (33x12.50) and love them....Ive only had them a week or so, but they are quiet and handle well offroad. My friend has put 11000 miles on his (36x15.50) under a heavy diesel Excursion and they are showing NO wear (we measured the tread depth before and after)! Here is pics:

They look awsome on your truck. What size/type wheels?

Sorry for bringing back an old thread.. but how do thet fit under your truck without any lift kit, are they friggen tight or do they rub? Also what type of gas milage to do you get with these tires? Thanks

CrazyCarl, all you have to do to fit 33x12.50's on 10 inch wide wheels on a 97-03 4x4 is trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower valance. I have some pics in my gallary.

I had these tires on my 97 F150. I had 38x15.50's and they rode great! I put about 5000 miles on them before I traded that truck for an 04 f150. At the time of my trade the tires didn't show hardly any sign of wear, in fact I am going to order them again for my 04 in the 33x12.50. Overall, I thought they were a great tire.
