33's on stock 17" Rims?

I'm about to install a 4" Rancho lift on my 06 F-150 and I'm planning on putting on some 33" tires also. So will I be able to mount these tires on my stock 17" rims or will I have to buy new wheels also? The tires I'm planning on putting on are the Mickey Thompson MTZ's and they measure 33x12.50R17. Mickey Thompson recommends that I use at least a rim that measures 17x8.5 on this tire so will it still be fine for me to use my stock 17x7.5 since there are some here running 35's on stock rims? Thanks for your help!

The height of the tire does not matter when it comes to the rims, just the width matters. Stock rims will work fine, but your tires will wear faster than normal in the center, because there will be a slight bulge. If you keep the tire pressure lower, you can get rid of that bulge, but i have heard that can hurt your mpg's. So, yes you will be fine.

yeah you will be fine, I have 33x11.50 on mine and they have worn fine so far. I know a ton of people that run 285's on there 16x7's and they wear fine as well. shouldnt be too noticeable.
