Time to get new tires for my 97 2WD F150. Worst terain this truck sees is gravle roads. I live in MN so it has to be able to handle snow and ice well. Tire size is 255 70 16. I like the BGR AT's I have on my Screw but trying to find a bit cheaper tire for this one.

Never buy tires based on price. That's not to say don't get some on sale but don't base the purchase on the bottom line.

If he's asking about cheap tire,s probably not interested in larger wheels that require even more costly tires. The new Firestone Destination A/T is supposed to be good and pretty inexpensive. The Yok Geolander A/T+II is a great tire, but wears quickly. I'd look at the 265/70R16 size as it is more common and probably cheaper.
While I don't want a cheap POS tire, (that is what I have on it now that came with it), but I don't need to spend the extra on an all terain off road tire as this woun't see any off road use.
Not interested in making it a show truck with spiffy rims and such, never cared for that look.

There are more benefits to AT tires than off road traction and they don't cost any more than good highway tires. Many last just as long too. They are generally better in snow (ice, well, nothing short of studded tires will bo geed) than highway tires which is why I recommended them. Many are not even very agressive and look great on 2wd trucks.
