Help no brakes

Post Help no brakes

I havea 97 F-150 with 4.6 my front brakes locked up the other day and when i took the cap off of the master cylinder it would move again . It was alright for a day but know the pedal goes all the way to the floor and when it hits the floor the only thing that happens is the right back wheel locks up. and thts all the brakes I have.I've bleed them and put new pads on and no luck any help would be appreciated.

Did you crack your bleeders when you pushed your caliper pistons back in? If not, you might have messed up your abs system. It has valves in it, and if you don't crack your bleeders open when you go to push your caliper pistons back in, it puts alot of pressure on these valves and they stick closed not allowing any braking pressure to your pads. Or so I heard from this website.

PS- I wouldn't drive it like that at all. Have it checked out immediately. Having no brakes is dangerous! Best of luck.

Your right Peacemaker on your reason with the ABS system. Now if you if he pushed the calipers in slowly without cracking the bleeders he should be alright but I agree with you that he needs to have it check out!
