Tire size, a little help

I have a 2005 f-150. I put 265/70/17's on it as I was told that was the biggest I could do and fit. Now I put the 2" spacer on the front to level it, and am curiuous as to how big i could go now. I would like to go 285/70/17 Do you all think those would fit? I really want Pirrelli but they only go to a 275/70/17. Anyone have an opinion on tires that i could get in the size i WANT?

Go to tirerack.com and search for tires by size. That's a good start as they have a good selection of tires but if you still can not find the exact size you want then go to all the tire manufactures websites and start searching. Sorry I can't help with your fitment question.

as far as the 285's go the best quality is going to be the BFG AT KO's or the Toyo Open Country AT's. If you are wanting to be cost effective and still get a pretty decent tire that'll last 35-40k look at the Kumho Road Venture AT's. Good Luck.

Right, you can fit 285's easily with a 2.5 inch kit on a 4x2.

What size would a 33" tire be? Is that the 285's ?

I just ordered the Skyjacker 3" susp lift and will be looking for 33's, I know I could fit 35's but the cost in tires, gas mileage combined is keeping me with a 33".

Also anyone know the stock rim size off hand? I have the 18" rims.
Is it a 8, 9 or 10" rim? Anyone know the lug pattern?

Thanks

Budha05STX, looking good!
This is mine at the moment with more goodies in route as we speek!
In a few weeks it will have a Borla dual rear exit, PCIII Programmer, KN 77 Series intake, 3" Lift. Rims/wheels to be determined... I may just put 33 on my stockers for now so I have a winter set of wheels!
