Mud tire question

I am about to purchase a new set of mud terrain tires. Can you all let me know all the options available in a 33/12.50/17 or 33/12.50/16, I might go down to the 16x10 rim from my current 17x7.5.
I just want an aggressive mud tire, but I all want one thats going to get decent milage? Thanks

the toyo open country mt is a great tire IMO- they have it in a 33x11.5R16, or a 33x12.5R18 in the 17" they only have 35's or 37's check toyo.com

The Pro Comp MT and Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial are the only 33x12.50-17 mud tires that I can think of off the top of my head. The Goodyear MTR is available in 305/70-17 (34x12.50-17). You have a lot more options with a 305/70-16 (33x12.50-16). I'd suggest the Toyo MT's, BFG MT KM's, or Goodyear MTR's.

i know that the really wide off-road tires look cool, but the wider the rim and tire the worse your mileage will be

a cool good looking tire that will last is the M/t Claw, the most popular is probably the BFG. I like the BFG and they are good but they look like a plain jane M/T

also I think Mickey Thompson just came out with their new Baja ATZ & MTZ in 33/12.5/17. You do have a lot more options with 16" rims and also you can get an 8" or 10" wide wheel which would be better for a 12.5 tire and make them last longer. (rim width)

I know several people that run it. No major complaints against it. Not going to last as long as a BFG but better than my buckshots. It is an average M/T looks a little better than a plain M/T.

they dont last to long, super swamper uses a real soft rubber that wears pretty fast, they only last around 20,000 miles give or take

if your looking for a 35" tire, get the Maxxis buckshot mudders..it's basically a backwards swamper. and there cheap and realiable.

Another thing to consider when buying mud tires.....Tall, narrow tires are better in the mud than wide tires.
