Wandell Help Please

Since you are the wheel and tire GURU here I need some help please will a 20" rim with a 5.70 backspace work on my 98 F 150 with a 305/50/20 http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/pr...roducts_id=579

Or will these work a 18" rim with a 5.80 backspace on a 325/60/18 http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/pr...roducts_id=576

will either of these combanations rub at all? and does it matter that the 20's have 14mm studs and i have 12mm studs?

On either set i plan on going with toyo open countery AT'S nitto AT'S or BFG KO'S

Thanks SKRWZ

Well, your truck has 12mm studs. Both wheels should work. Both wheels have a lot of backspacing, which could cause the tires to rub on the frame at full steering lock. The OEM wheels only have 4.5 inches of backspacing. Personally, I think the 325/60-18's (33x13.00) will look better than a 305/50-20 (32x12.50). Both should work however.

Thanks for the reply Wandell, I relize my truck has 12mm studs but the 20" rim was drilled for 14mm studs does that make a differnce in fitment, or do you use diffent lugs or I read something about this before but i cant find it now, and also, how do you think a 18x9 " wheel with a 0 offset (Helo Max 6) would work with a 325/60/18 on my truck?

It should work. You just need to use the lugnuts for your year model truck.
