Wheels for 2000 4X4

I was going to buy 16X10 Eagles for my 2000 F150 4X4 and probably put on Nitto Terra Grapplers. A friend of mine said I may need 17 inch rims to clear the brakes. Has anyone heard of this before. I have not liofted the truck I am just going to crank up the torsions. Any input would be great.

naw you wont have a problem with a 2000 running 16 inch rims, tons of people got'em, check out wandell's gallery he's got 16x10's on his '01. and do believe lot of those trucks came stock with 16's.

check out cfl4rat's pics, Search him in the wheels and tires forum, he's got 305's mounted on 16x10's with no lift and just the t-bars cranked.

On the 97-03 trucks, you need at least a 16" rim.
On the 04-up F150's you need at least a 17" rim.

Your buddy probably just got the years crossed up or something like that.
