325x60x18 on 3.73

I've seen that many of you have 325x60x18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Is there a problem with running them on 3.73 gears? These are about 33" tires and I've heard that going bigger than this, say 35", are really tough on the gears and turn your truck into a snail. Are the 33" that much better? Will I notice a difference in acceleration from a stop with these versus the stock tires? Thanks.

Assuming you have an 04+ w/ 18" rims, those tires are 4% larger than stock. I don't know how much heavier, though. That's where the performancepenalty would come from, the extra weight. No one can answer if you'll notice the difference becuase it depends on your driving style and how in tune you are with the performance of your vehicles.

also assuming its an 04-5-6 new body- ive got 33" muds on my truck, no problems at all with my 3.73- it still gets up and goes- it came with 32" rugged trails stock so you're really not doing too much to it.

It's an '06 FX4 Screw and I'm picking it up tomorrow. I wanted to get the wheels and tires on there right away, but then started thinking that maybe I should drive it for a few weeks first to be sure everything is cool. Maybe I'm just too paranoid. What do you guys think? Not about the paranoid part but about the tires.

The stock are 275x65x18 which is about a 32" tire. A 325x60x18 is 33" so I guess you're right....I'm not doing much to it.

The OEM 275/65-18's are closer to 33 inches tall. You should not have any problems.

I got a local tire shop to credit me $300 towards a new set of tires when my truck was 3 days old. If you don't plan on keeping the stock tires, don't drive on them. <200 miles they are worth decent money. Over 1000 miles, quickly drops their value.
