how much backspace is +9mm?

ok, I'm looking at these wheels- well click the link, tehn go to the 'wheels' link they are the ones in the very bottom right- Flathead- http://www.ampwheels.com/index.html
its a stupid macromedia site, so i cant grab the wheel directly or the menu...
they are 18x8.5 with +9mm offset. i think that shoud be around 5" or so of backspace- so mounted on my truck how far should I expect them to protrude past stock?
edit: got the link: http://www.ampwheels.com/360_views/flathead_360.html (yea they only show the 8 lug ones in 360, but you get the idea)
thanks
justin
heres a photoshop of the wheels on the truck- opinions- excellent, good, bad, horrible?

Should be pretty easy to figure out. Offset is the distance from the centerline of the rim. Positve offset is toward the outer portion of the rim, so 9mm is roughly .35" (FYI there are 25.4 mm per inch) and you know the center of the rim is 4.25 on the 8.5 inch rim. So add the .35 and 4.25 and you've got 4.6"

Hope this helps
