Tires for stock 18's

How big of a tire can I get for my 05 FX4 Screw, Autospring leveling kit? From what I can gather reading other posts the wheels are 18x9. But I haven't seen a definitive answer on tire size. I know atleast 33's, but I would like to get 35's if they will fit with minor mods and no rub. And I want to stick with my stock rims for now. Thanks for all the help in advance.

okay, stock rims: 18x7.5"
safest running on stocks: up to 33"
Can run, may rub, wearing could be uneven over time on stocks: 35's max

im running 33x12.5R18 on my stock fx4 18's they fill up well, and you dont have to worry about them hitting or rubbing anything when you off-road hard. pics in my signature- bozeman gallery

You said uneven wear over time for 35's...what exactly do you mean by that? All tires will wear...less with regular rotations. How will 35's wear more?

The narrower rim bends the sidewalls in more and makes the tread bow up, making the center of the tread wear out way before the sides of the tread. Same thing as if you overinflated....I think, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

That sounds right...never thought of it that way.

I found these tires that were 325/60R18...a 33.4" tire. Do you think these would work? I can't find any tires in stock anywhere that are 33x12.50R18. The ones I found are Kumho Road Venture AT's. Here is the website.

Hey guys, I saw an 05 F150 FX4 (with no leveling kit...I think) the other day running 325/60/18s which are basically a 33-13.50-18. Im pretty sure they were terra grapplers. It looked pretty BAD ***! Since your stock wheel is only 7.5" wide some tire shops may tell you not to run that wide of a tire but you could do it if you wanted and just make sure you rotate them often. Because like someone else said they will wear in the middle quicker than the outer edges.

The terra grapplers look awesome with this set up but they do wear quick. Since they are about $250 apiece at this size it could get costly since they do not last as long as other tires. They seem to be made of a softer rubber compound versus the BFG ATs. I do not know if BFG makes a 325/60/18 but I know they have a set for a 20" wheel.

I run a BFG MT 35x12.50x18 on my ford wheels. Fit and look great. I used to have a leveling kit before the suspension and the 35s had nor rub at all.
