For the 16" wheels the OEM was 235x70, the 255x70 was a factory upgrade.
I replaced my 255x70 with 265x70.
It was a taller tire and mpg/power degraded.
However, I wanted a larger 'footprint' width.
I think the 245x75 is a poor choice.
No footprint gain and yet a taller tire with the demerits listed above.
I'd recommend staying with the 70 series you have now and choosing a width of your preference.

Thats why I'm looking at the 245/75/16, more tires to pick from. Why would this be a bad choice, I only drive my truck in city and around town.

Well what exactly are you looking for here? If you are looking for a stock replacement tire and thats it, then I suggest the Michelin LTX M/S...its more expensive but ive heard of people getting 90k+ miles out of them. You should be able to find it in your stock tire size. 255/70R16 is not all that uncommon of a size, but the 245 is not much different if you absolutely cannot find a tire in 255...
