????????Toyo Open Country M/T Backorder?????
????????Toyo Open Country M/T Backorder?????
I placed an order through a friend for a set of 33/12.50r18 mud terrains and was told they would be in about 3 or 4 weeks. Its been about 6 weeks and I can't get a solid answer of when my tires will be coming in. Does anyone know anything about the wait on the backorder for these tires? Also if its going to be a long wait does anyone have any other ideas for tires in this size?
I was looking at maybe getting them also, but the dealer said that they were back ordered. He was told 4-5 weeks, then 7-8 weeks. He said that is was that way with both Nitto and Toyo, A/T's and M/T in the 33-35" range. They are a very hot tire right now and just can't be found. I ended up getting my Nitto Terra Grapplers 325/60/18 (33X13X18) off Ebay, is was the best price that I could find.

I read recently that Toyo is building a new plant/warehouse in Georgia to produce tires. Hopefully they will get it up and running quickly so the shortages on Nitto's and Toyo's will be a thing of the past.
I'm kind of limited on the kind of tire I can go with as it needs to be a 33/12.50r18. There aren't that many choice and from what i understand the toyo is the best tire on the market.
I special ordered mine on sale about a month ago. I emailed Toyo and it looks like it will be at least another month. The strange thing is, the latest 4wheelparts mag shows a price drop of about $50/ea but shouldn't it be a price increase for demand? I shure hope they are worth it. I am getting 37/13.5-17's on 17x10's.

New Shipment For Toyo Open Country MT 33x125R18
I just order my Toyo Open Country MT 33x125R18 tires. They just got a shipment in Northern California in today 7-12-06. Les Schwab quoted me $1500.00 out the door. I'm sure they will go fast. I had mine shipped to Southern California through Discount Tire. I can't wait. I have been waiting since November. Good Luck!

Sorry to say this but I think they saw you coming in the door
I guess some people are more fortunate than others
$300 per tire. $100 install. $35 per tire insurance. = $1440.00 + tax.
That is the cheapest price I could find for 33x12.50R18 in CA.
The cheapest price I could find online was $290 per tire and they were backorderd.
Please let me know where I can find a better deal in CA. I'd like to know for my next set of tires. Thanks.
P.S. 35" tires are cheaper than the 33"

WOW a double post....not cool!
Yeah your right, a 33 is a few $$$ install is a bit high, but even if the dropped it to $50 its only $50 that you would be saving. Good luck with the purchase and post some **** pics when you get them!!!
