Question Different Size Tires?

Hey Guys.

I got a flat this weekend when going camping and am running on my Spare tire. It's a 265/70 16. All 3 other tires are P285/50R20's.

My question is, is it alright for me to be running on the spare? I'm getting a new tire for it tommorow. But just wanted to make sure it won't harm my rear end, or tranny?

Any feedback is much appreciated, thanks.

if you did not have a spare you would hurt your truck more...driving on a flat...it's ok

Well I sure wouldn't drive on a flat

But a buddy of mine said not drive on it like that or it would mess up the rear end.

Reason I'm asking is because Tires are $200 each here. But If I order online in bulk (4) I can get them for much cheaper, But would have to drive with the truck like this for a while. (However long shipping is)

The tires are about 2% different which isn't too bad. The clutchs in the LCD won't be happy, but you'll be fine for a week.
