Hankook Tires

My 04 F150 super cab 5.4 l 2 x 2 came with Dynapro p235 70 R17 tires. I'd like to go to a LT 245 70R17 as I'm towing a 5th wheel. I have Hellwig helper springs. Would I have to modify anything. Ford didn't offer a optional tire at the time of purchase.

Just keep in mind that a taller tire will result in a higher final drive ratio which you will feel when you pull your trailer. It's like putting in a different rear gear. Going from a 3.73 to a 3.55 depending on tire size. If you are pulling a max gvw trailer, I would stick to the stock size unless you are willing to also change the rear gears.

Good luck.

You don't have to do a thing. A single step up in tire size like you've noted, isn't enough to worry about. That's only a 1/2 inch increase in overall diameter and a little more than 1/4 inch increase in width.
