Arggh...I ordered wrong tire size!
Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I am a complete moron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered the wrong tire size for my new Lightining rims. I was going for a lightning look on my 2wd f-150. I ordered some L rims and a set of 285/60/18 G-Force T/A's. Sounds nice huh?
Well, after doing some research (should have done in the first place), I found out that the overall diameter of my truck's winter wheel/tire combo 265/70/17 is 31.61" roughly. The diameter of my L rims and tires would be 31.46" roughly. I was going for a low profile look and a less ground clearance look with my new L rims. I wouldn't have got that with the G-force tire size I ordered.
Anyway, I'm shipping the g-force t/a's back and I ordered some Yokohama ADVAN ST's. This size I ordered is 285/50/18, which is much closer to the OEM Lightning tire size, and I think will give me the look I am after. The overall diameter of my new L rims and the Yokohama's is 29.22" roughly.
Has anyone else ran 285/50/18's on L rims, on a 2wd F-150? If so please post a pic because I am dying to see how they will look.
Thanks

Did you get them mounted?I was wondering if I could see a pic of the wheels and the 285/50/18.I am looking at purchasing the same tires for my Roush wheels, but would like to see how much side wall there actually is.Thanks man..Rob
