Question on the Mickey's

Looking at adding a set of Mickey Thompson MTZ's, does anyone use these tires. I would like to know how they wear, durability, and the amount of road noise they make. Any info would be appreciated.

They are a pretty new tire so there is not a lot of feedback on them. What I have read has been positive.

another question regarding mickeys

After reading this post I looked at those Mickey Thompsons and I like the way they look. I have been planning on getting some 285's on my stock rims. Will a 33x12.5 fit w/o rubbing? I know a 285/70/17 is a 33x11.50 and it wont rub, just wondering if the 12.5 would, they have the MTX in that size and I like the looks of that tire and it says the approved rim width is 7-10 which is wider range than most tires in that size. Thanks.

Called around today to find prices on a set of Mickey MTZ's but apparently a lot of the larger rim sizes are not in production yet. I was told possibly in a few weeks...but it's all guess work. I think a set of 325x60/18 Mickey Thompson MTZ's are the winner for my truck - whenever they are available.

I don't, but a few members at FTW have them and like them. I've read a couple of magazine reviews on them that said they are a very good tire.

good stuff, thanks Wandell.

Oh and another thing, do you know why they recommend 7-10 rim size on their 33x12.50's when every other 33x12.50 recommends at least 8.5????
