325/65R18 vs. 325/60R18

I'm purchasing new tires for my 2006 F150 XLT 4x4. I was trying to decide between the Toyo OC A/T and the Nitto TG 325/60R18. I can get both for the same price $847.00 out the door with lifetime balancing and rotation. Personnally I like the look of the Nitto TG better. I ordered the Nitto TG and found out their on back order up to three months. But the tire dealer said he's got the 325/65R18 in stock and is geeting them in on Wednesday. What mods are required to my truck these tires measure 34.88" and 12.99" wide. I have a 2 1/2" leveling kit that was installed last week.

are you keeping the stock rims, or going new? either way rubbing at full crank would really be your only issue- trimming the fender seems to resolve some people's problems...

Thanks! I'm going to stay with stock rims temporarily, My truck came with the 18" crome rims with the chrome package.

I'd go with a 325/60-18. They may or may not fit with the OEM wheels and a leveling kit, but you will have to lift your truck more to run them with an aftermarket wheel.

I will have to go with the Toyo OC A/T if I go with the 325/60R18. They are basically the same tire? (Toyo owns Nitto) Except the wxtra cut on the sides.

Aren't the Nittos and Toyos to wide for a stock rim ?

if you stick to the 33" you are ok- 35's start to get iffy- some are good, most arent

325-60-18 are already a little too wide for the factory wheel. And if there have already been complaints with rubbing with this size then the 325-65-18 may rub more and you may have more clearance issues.Since it is considered a 35" tire and the 325-60-18 at 33". The width of the tire is a factor that you need to consider for the factory wheel. Yes some member have them but you could have premature wear (which will need to be replaced sooner) and with the tire being so wide for the factory wheel the bead may come out. Not saying it will, but I personally wouldn't chance it. Just my opinion.

Actually, you have less of a chance of loosing a bead with a narrow wheel. If you plan on upgrading to wider wheels in the near future, I'd go for it. If you are gonna keep the OEM wheels, I'd go with a narrower tire.

Well, I went and Had the 325/65R18 mounted to see if they fit, and they did with no rubbing, So There putting them on now as I write this. They are only going to have to trim the black valance on the front bumper (round it off a little). They are going to look awsome!!!! I'll probably have some pictures available later. Going to get it in about 2 hours.
