Pro Comp Wheels

Ok, I know I have asked before but just want to make sure before I buy,

My Truck: 2005 F150 FX4

Question: after doing research, 4wheel parts Said the 17x9 Pro comp 6089 Wil NOT fit my truck, so since I really am set on that wheel, I will have to go with a 18x9 Pro Comp 6089, They wernt sure if the 6089 18x9 would fit, So I wanted to know if anyone has them mounted or knows if the Pro Comp 6089 18x9 will fit a 2005 FX4, Thanks

That's interesting because I talked to the managers in two of their Denver stores last month and advised them that I wanted to run a 315/70/17 BFG with the ProComp 6089 in a 17x9. Even though my truck had 18" factory rims, they said the wheel and tires would fit with no problems but tried to talk me out of a 2 inch Daystar lift and go with a full 6 inch lift. I ended up with a Autospring 2.5 lift that I installed myself, but still looking for the right rims and tire combination.

Let us know how this works out for you.

18x9's will fit for sure.

The problem is that some 17x9's do not clear the brake calipers. I cant tell you what wheels do and dont fit for the newer trucks for 17x9s.

Hey rand17, I just talked to a different Pro Comp dealer today and he said they have never had an issue with mounting the 17x9 6089 with 5" backspace on an 05 f-150 4x4. What did you decide to do? I don't have the cash yet but like the looks of em.

Havnt dont anything yet, I like the look of them too, althought I have been looking at the Moto Metals 951 too, but I think I will get a 18x9 just to be sure it fits, I will be ordering them so I dont want to deal with returns if the 17x9 dont fit

Well tell that slug to get a move on, there's guys who want to know if they fit or not !!

I emailed a couple more Pro Comp dealers today and they say that wheel will fit fine but as with the others, say that a 35 inch tire with a 2.5 level kit will not work. I offered to show him some pictures of many of our members who are doing it, I think he was more interested in selling me an expensive lift.
