F250 wheel question......

I have a wheel question for the wheel experts.

I have a 1997 F250 light duty. The lug pattern is 7 lugs. I know that there is not alot of options for aftermarket wheels. Do any wheel companies make 7 lug pattern wheels?

What about changing the hub to a 8 lug pattern? Any info will help. Thanks

Eagle Alloy makes a wheel for your truck. I'm not positive, but I think American Racing makes one also.

7 lug rims

I have 4 16x8 Prime 105 wheels 3 are chrome and 1 is polished. let me know if you are interested. I had them on a 97 f-250 light duty 4x4. Also the only place I have been able to find 7 lug wheels is Boyd Coddington but they are expensive. I tried the places that the other guy said and they told me they dont make them anymore.

You didnt link to any particular set of wheels...

But they had quite a selection for 7x150 bolt pattern wheels...if that is what the F250 LD uses.

7-lug wheels

I'm pretty sure your 7-lug F-250 wheels are identical to those now being supplied as original equipment on the '06 F-150 with the Heavy Duty Power Package option. My '06 has this 7 by 150mm pattern, and I've only found two manufacturers that make aftermarket wheels for it: American Racing and Eagle.

American Racing's Atlas #660-7850 is a 17" diameter, 8" wide, 0 offset chromed alloy wheel with a 7x150 bolt pattern and 4.5" backside spacing. It's on the AR website, pictured with a five lug pattern. I just bought four on Ebay for $670 including chrome stems and lugnuts. (Price included shipping). Wheels just arrived, boxed, brand new, perfect condition. Contact Kevinduanepiper@aol.com for more info if you are interested. He's been great.

AR makes this wheel in polished aluminum too, which is cheaper, but less durable than chrome. Eagle also makes a wheel for this bolt pattern, aluminum too. Ford should, but doesn't, offer an alloy wheel for this bolt pattern.

Good luck. Let us know what you come up with.

PS: I just checked the Centerline site above, and they seem to have a 17x8 wheel with the 7 lug pattern too. Thanks, Rideordie. Now you've got three to choose from. But, call the manufacturer first before buying....
