need help with tires

I read lots of tires size threads, but didn't find one concerning my model. I have a "99 standard cab, 2wd, v6 with stock size tires and rims (16's with 235/70r16). I'm looking to get new tires and want something a little bigger. How big can I go without rubbing, 255, 265?

255/65's 255/70's will look just right. i hated my truck when it had the 235's. I got the all terrains, it drasticlly changed the look of the truck for the better

I wouldn't go larger than 265/75-16's.

265's would take up too much space in the wheel wells and IMO would look tacky on a 2wd w/o some kinda lift
