Blowing fuse #13 (ABS)

I keep blowing fuse #13. Had a brake job done 2 weeks ago. Everything was fine until this weekend, could not get truck out of Park. Found blown fuse 13. Replaced it, fixed my problem but now it keeps blowing. There is some ozzing of brake fluid anround the master cylinder switch (98 f150 4.6l 2wd). Any ideas what is causing the fuse to blow? Thanks

This is the classic truck fire problem. The brake switch on the master cylinder is shorting out the fuse. Disconnect the wire at this switch. Replace the fuse, which will allow you to get out of park.

Then make an appointment with your local dealer as there is a recall on this. It shouldn't cost you a dime.

If you leave it connected and then replace the fuse, you run a risk of fire as there have been reported cases.

Good Luck
