backspacing ok

I'm planning on getting 20x8.5 rims with +25mm offset and 305/50/20 tires. I was just wondering if that offset is ok. I think its 5.75" of backspacing, but I just want to be sure before I order them. I was thinking of getting the black liquid metal from discount tire, not sure of what tires yet but leaning towards the Nitto nt420s or the Hankook Ventus. Any info would help, thanks.

Stock backspacing on the 7.5 inch wide wheels is 5.5. So, those wheels will stick out less than an inch farther than the stock wheels. They should be fine.

The wheel/tire combo, however, may stick out farther. Your factory tire was likely 275mm wide, while your new one is 305mm wide. Add another half inch to the amount sticking out due to that.

One set of 20x8.5 wheels I am checking out are 35mm so would that be about 3/4 of an inch more sticking out past the stock 7.5" wheels? I want to go with 305-55s though. The other two sets I like are both 40mm.
