BFG AT KO winter performance

I picked up a set of 265 75 16 BFG At KO's for my 2000 F150 supercab 4X4 this past summer. Here in Ohio we have been getting hit with some serious ice & snow storms recently. I cannot believe how these tires handle in the ice & snow. It is like you aren't even driving in bad weather, I mean you wouldn't know that you were on snow if you didn't get out & look for yourself! I have never had a tire perform so well in inclimate conditions. I just wanted to share my experiences with these tires in case someone else was looking for something for safe winter driving. Don't get me wrong, these tires were a little pricy (about $750 for the set installed) but I guess whatt hey say is true - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR....

DITTO ! I still cant figure out why they were given such a poor snow and ice performance rating on tirerack.com.

I had these on my 98' F150 for four years, I can't say enough good things about them.

I used to live in an apartment complex with a really steep hill. One morning after I had just gotten my tires it was completely covered with ice and I watched 4x4's and cars alike have to turn around and go back the way they came. So for fun I fired her up and started driving up the hill, halfway up I stopped on a solid sheet of ice and sat there for a minute then I gently accelerated and went smoothly up the hill! Didn't even spin a tire - felt like I was on dry pavement.

Had these for 4 years until I traded my truck and they still had a lot of tread left. I can't wait until my Wrangler's wear out...just to bad they don't make them to exactly fit the 05's w/18" rims

ah but they do my friend. I have them on my 05 Lariat screw in size 285-65-18. They are slightly less than one inch taller and wider than stock and they really are a terrific tire. I've owned several sets over the years and loved them all.

yaaaaa!!!! BFG AT KO's are awesome on the snow and ice! its like driving a snow-cat! before i had the f15 i had a '90 suburban that i put 'em, and they where awesome! i live in washington, and to get to my house you have to go up a 1/2 mile paved road that is all a VERY steep hill. every year without fail, the first day it snows the hill gets a bunck of snow, shich then is half melted by hte sun during the day, and re-freezes into a hal****** of ice overnight. nobody could get up it but me ( thats including a bunch of othe truks and SUVs), and i actualy towed a toyota up it!

now i have two sets of wheels and tires for the f150: one OE 17" alloy set with highway tires, and one 16" OE alloy set with BFG AT KOs for off-roading and winter! it works perfectly, and conserves the tread on the BFGs for when i actualy want it! hehehe... i do love these tires.
