I'd use 40psi as a starting point. What size tire was OEM on your truck?

oem size was 265/75 r 17. the place that put the tires on put 40 psi all the way around but i lowered the rear to 37 psi. do you think that is good or do i need to go lower or higher.

ford says 30 psi in the front and 35 in the back for me...stock size tires here though. I think anything over that and you're fine.

Careful with that. The larger the air chamber, the lower the pressure needed. With a 33", 35psi is all you need. If you don't haul much, 32-30psi for the rear. Experiment with the 40 psi thing....just keep your tread depth measured on a regular basis to make sure you're not burning your middle's out.

You can compare the two tires for speedometer accuracy here.

thanks for the help guys. i htink i am going to to run 35psi in the front and 31psi in the rear. no one answered my question about the front end aleignment. do i need to do that or not? the stock tires i took off seemed to be wearing evenly.
