Help With A Tire Size On Factory Wheel

I Have A 2005 F150 Fx4 Super Cab Flareside With Factory 18'' Fx4 Wheels On It. Over The Weekend I Installed A 2.5'' Leveling Kit In The Front. Can Anyone Recommend What Larger Tire Size I Can Upgrade To That Will Fit On My Stock Rim With The 2.5 Level Kit Installed? I'd Like To Find Something In A Mud Tread If Possible. I Think The Rim Width Is 7.5. Thank You In Advance To Anyone Who Responds.

Thanks Again,
Es38

Sounds like the 35x12.50-18 BFG MT KM's or Toyo Open Country MT's would be perfect for you.

Im not sure about what size to go with but as far what kind of tire, you said you wanted a mud grip, so BFG MT, Wrangler MTR, ProComp MT, Cooper STT, Firestone Destination M/T are all good mud tires, wont last quite as long as an all terrain, but perform better offroad

HEY WANDELL, DO YOU THINK I COULD PULL OFF A 35X12.50 OR 33X12.50 ON MY STOCK 7.5 RIM? THE RIM RANGE INDICATORS ON THE WEB SITES FOR THESE TIRES ALL SAY THE NARROWEST RIM FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED TIRES IS 8.5''. SORRY IF IT'S S STUPID QUESTION BUT I'M A NOVICE AT THIS SORT OF THING. THANKS AGAIN...

Most 12.50 width tire recommend an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel. A lot of member here and at FTW have run 35x12.50's (315/70-17) on OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels with no problems. Usually running a tire on too narrow a wheel will make the center portion of the tires tread to wear slightly faster than normal. Similar to the wear you would get from running too much air pressure.

Thank You So Much For Your Info And Time Wandell. I Really Appreciate The Time. I Think I'm Gonna Give It A Whirl With The Toyo's Or Bfg's. Hopefully It Works Out Well. I'll Post A Picture When I Get Em On The Truck. Thanks Again.

325-60-18 will fit but will rub when turning hard. Nitto terra grapplers have been popular or toyo open country mud terrains are nice as well. BF GOODRICH also came out with the 285-65-18 al terrain KO which is a little bigger than stock but I don't think will change the speedo about only 2 mph
and also may not rub. This would be my choice for my FX4. Remember the load weight, handling, gas mileage, speedometer will be affected if you go bigger, unless you have a tuner. Good luck.

also check this link calculator and it can help you choose what size is right for you, how it will affect the mileage and more. It's at this link

Thanks A Bunch For Your Info Tx-fx-4. I'm Thinking Of Going With The Toyo 33x12.50 18''. I'm Concerned With How Close The Inside Wall Of My Factory Tire Sits To The Spindle. Slightly Over An Inch It Appears. Cant Imagine 33x12.50 Not Rubbing On The Spindle. But Everyone Tells Me They Will Fit On The Factory Wheel. Just Have To Worry About Pre-mature Wear In The Middle Of The Tire. I Guess I'll Find Out Soon Enough.
