Question on Rim width

Quick question i am having a leveling kit put on my 05 f150 4x4 and was wondering if it would be better to go with 17x8 or 17x9 rim width with the bfg 285-70-17 A/T. Or will it not really matter much? Any help would be appreciated

Either size wheel will work. I would go with the 17X9 so you can accomodate a larger tire in the future if you decided to go that route.
