Problem with http://www.onlinetires.com

Be careful ordering wheels and tires from http://www.onlinetires.com because they mounted the tires, but they DID NOT BALANCE THE TIRES! I have NEVER heard of somebody mounting tires without balancing them. They also had over 60 PSI in every tire. I took the truck to NTB and got them balanced. NTB was the only shop I could find that would balance these large tires. They wanted $17.99 per tire for a single balance or $22.99 per tire for lifetime balance and rotation. I went ahead and got the lifetime balance and rotation, but it was still an extra $106.50 that I had not planned on spending right away. I will be getting these puppies rotated and balanced every 5000 miles...like clockwork!

That's pretty weak! I'd call them and ask them to pay for the balancing, just to see what they said. You never know, it could have been a mistake.

I have been trying to call the people at http://www.onlinetires.com all day long and there has been no answer. I guess they took a four day weekend.

I tried to call them all day again today, with no answer. I finally decided to just send an email. I doubt I will ever buy anything from www.onlinetires.com again. The customer service is just terrible. I may change my mind, but for now I am really mad. I'll keep you guys posted on the outcome.

I just got an email from www.onlinetires.com asking me how much the balance cost me. Maybe this means that they are going to reimburse me for the balance. We'll see.

Well, I guess it was wishful thinking. I emailed them yesterday and received no reply to yesterday's email. I emailed them today and received no replay to today's email. Customer service is always the first thing to suffer...I guess I should have just gone through http://www.tirerack.com since they always seem to have awesome customer service.

You are right. Like I said, customer service is becoming a thing of the past.

I just got an email from them...

They said that they are going to refund $62 to my credit card. If they do that, I will be pleased. We'll see.

They refunded me $62 of the balancing cost, so I am very happy. Overall, my experience with www.onlinetires.com was good. Their prices are hard to beat and they saved me about $600 off what the same wheels and tires would have cost locally. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good deal, and have recommended them to many people already. Check them out before you buy your next tires. They carry the Nitto Terra Grapplers and the Toyo Open Country's as well.

Tire rack is hard to beat service wise. I've always had good experiences with them. Pretty decent prices too.
