Question All-weather tires

Hi all

Just moved to Minnesota and am looking at all-weather tires, but finding a pretty wide variety of prices for my '01 Ford 150 2WD. Is the old adage, "you get what you pay for?", reflective of tires? Or are the name brands (Michelin, Goodyear) not necessarily worth the extra cost? I'm looking for a good traction tire, but I'll be driving on freeways and main streets most of the times.

Thanks bunch!

Lots of choices, lots of opinions. Read all you can and decide. Here's a site that will help too.

From my experience, you really do get what you pay for. Just a word of caution, today all of the major manufacturers make low end and high end tires. Just because you get a BFG doesn't mean you purchased a great tire. If you are looking at all terrian tires, I would suggest the BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo Open Country AT or Bridgestone Dueler.
