What is the difference in a 265/70/17 and a 305/40/22? How much bigger is the 22?

You can put both tire sizes in and get the difference at this site.

A 265/70-17 is basically a 32x10.50-17. A 305/40-22 is basically a 32x12.50-22. The two tires are gonna be almost identical in height but the 305/40-22 is gonna be about two inches wider.

Thanks, its just that when I put the 22's on my truck it makes a noticeable difference in performance. The 22's weight a lot more.
