Due to the backorder on the Nitto Terra Grapplers, I have been told by the shop doing the work that this new setup will work. Do you guys agree?

3" Leveling Kit
17x9 187's 5" backspacing
315/70/17 BFG's AT/KO's

They have told me that even though there is an overall diameter difference of 1.51 inches between the Nitto and the BFG, it should fit with no problems. the tires measure out to a diameter of (Nitto = 32.99" vs BFG = 34.5"). Do you guys agree that with the leveling kit, I should be fine? Please help...

 

With the leveling kit, you can fit a 35" tire with no issues, so you should be fine.

 

I dont know about that, your probably gonna have a little rubbing at full lock but other than that I dont think it would be a problem but I'm not a tire expert. Wandell where are ya?

 

I hate to go against anyone else's advice, but you should be fine. The only rubbing you may ever experience would be in an extreme articulated position when offroading. I have friends that run 35's with no problem.

 

I think they will fit. If you have any rubbing, it will be due to the wheels. If you were using the OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels with 5.5 inches of backspacing you would have no problems at all.
