people with 33's on 04's...gas milage question

Im thinking about buying my friends FCII tires....what kind of decrease in milage are you people seeing when putting on 33's compared to stock....

Well it sucked to begin with and it still sucks. Realy I don't know I have the same tires you're thinkin of getting, but I never keep track of gas mileage because no matter what it is gonna suck. However that being said bigger tires once they get rolling on the hiway shouldn't give you that much worse mileage, it is the starting and around town type of stuff, that unless you go a lot bigger than stock.

ok...because its my work truck that I use to visit job sites all over the province...I spend lots of time on the Hway...if I keep the hiway milage pretty close to stock, im fine.

Most of the 04-05 F-150 4x4's came with 32 inch tall tires. If your's did you shouldn't notice much difference.

I get 13-14 mpg city driving. 5.4, 3:73, and 33's. Thats not taking it easy, just normal driving.

on my truck there is 255/70/17's.....so I should be fine hey?

The 255/70-17 is approximately a 31 inch tall tire.
