I was curious if anyone else has had their rear brake rotors replaced. My brakes were making noise; I got caught on the road when they started to really give me problems and had to have them looked at. Evidently the rotors were worn beyond help, they said I could change the pads but the squeak would still be there. This truck is still pretty fresh, approximately 24k on it, isnt that a little early to get hit with a rotor and pad job, $580.00, ouch!

 

doesn't sound right to me. that's the rear, you usually can go twice as far on a set of pads in the rear. most of your braking should be coming from the front.
