Help with a straight answer please

I have been searching the forums for some time now and I need to ask the experts. Everyone I talk to locally gives me a different answer each time. Sometimes at the same place. I have a 2005 FX4 SCrew with stock 18" rims. I am trying to get a straight answer as to what will fit without a lift kit. I am not opposed to the leveling kit and will probably go ahead with the Daystar 2.5. However, without doing anything this is what my calculations come to on a stock setup. BFG 285/65 R18's will fit no problem. However, for the money this is not that big of a difference. Now the true question is and I have been told and calculated myself that:

Nitto Terra Grapplers 325/60 R18 will fit no problems and no rubbing on stock rims and no leveling kit. Measures out to just over a 33" tire. I have even seen pics where this setup is being run on other boards but you can never tell if the posts are on the up and up...

Nitto Terra Grapplers 325/65 R18 requires a leveling kit and after the leveling kit is installed will not rub. Measures out to just over a 35" tire.

Will someone, please give me a straight answer...

Well, for 325/60/18, you ll need some a bit wider rims cuz its approx 13" width.
FX4 rim is 7.5" width.

Some have report that 325/60/18 will fit stock rims without level kit (some w/ rubbing, some dont). Some report that need a little trims.

I would recommend to get level kit and correct width rims for that tire size.

As for 325 65 18, i honestly am not sure....It might hit the fender if your doing some off roading like unpaved road, bad rough road, and beach 4x4.

Don't think that anyone is going to mount a 325 on a stock 7.5" rim, safety ya know, you'll prob. need to stick with a 285 or so, maybe able to squeeze a 305/60/18 on it, you'll have to call and ask though. Good luck.

Yah my neighbor has the same truck with a 3 inch lift and hes running a 305\60\18 on 18X9 wheels, there is no way he could do any larger a tire he has already trimmed in the front..stick with the 285 or 305 if it fits...only one way to find out get the kit and go measure it up at ur tire shop.

I think the 325's will fit, but the wheel is too narrow for a tire that wide. Usually, running too wide a tire on a narrow wheel will cause the center portion of the tire to wear more quickly than normal. Similar to the wear you would get from running too much air pressure. Personally, I'd install a leveling kit and run the 325/60-18's on some 18x9 aftermarket wheels. If I couldn't buy everything at once, I wouldn't be afraid to run the 325's on the stock wheels for a short period of time, but I wouldn't leave them on it for a year or longer.

325/65r18

I just saw a new FX4 with 325/65R18's and it looked AWESOME!! I don't know what he did to it to make it fit but my 05 SCREW with stock tires looked pretty sad next to it. I couldn't believe it was the same body as mine. The tires made such a huge difference. If anyone knows how to fit these tires please let me know, it's what I would like to do to mine. thanks.
