I have been told by Centerline sales rep that there are fitment issues with the 05 f150's and the 17 inch Crossfire wheel due to a new caliper that ford began using on the 05's. My question is...are there going to be issues with all 17's regardless of brand? It would seem that a 17 is a 17. Otherwise, those of us with 05's are stuck with very little to choose from in 18's !!Thanks for all replies.

Thanks for the reply. I had seen that post but it only dealt with the centerline crossfire. Since centerline has now determined that their wheel will not work, I am curious if this means no other 17 will work.

Does anybody have a newer 05 with 17 wheels? If so, please chime in.

 

I have 17" Weld EVO wheels and have experienced no problem with caliper clearence. It is mighty close but they fit fine.

 

ackackadak, Thanks for the reply. Your truck is one of those that I have studied in deciding what to do to mine. I have a few questions for you. Did yours come with 18 or 17's? Also, when was yours built? They say that those built after Jan. 05 have different calipers that are causing the fitment problems.

 

I ordered my truck in Nov 04 and had it by the end of Dec 04. I opted for the 17" wheels as I knew I would be swapping them out for the Weld wheels. Since mine was built before Jan 05 I guess my experience isn't relevant.
