what size tires

what size tires

im looking to get some bfg Ats in the next couple months, my truck is a 99 4x4 reg cab flareside with the 4.6 v8, what is the biggest tire i can fit with just a torsion bar crank?

I'd go with a 285/75-16 or 285/70-17. Both work out to be approximately a 33x11.50 tire. You could squeeze 315/75-16's or 315/70-17's (35x12.50) on your truck if you use the OEM wheels, but it is an extremely tight fit.

thanks for the reply, would a 34 inch tire fit with just torsion bar crank or would that be real tight and also would that start to affect my performance? I want to go with as tall a tire as i can without suspension or body lift and without considerably affecting performance!

Yeah, you will notice a loss of performance with 34's and a 4.6. Goodyear makes a 305/70-17 (34x12.50) that would fit, if you use stock wheels. You could also fit 295/70-17 (34x12.00) Nitto Terra Grapplers or 295/75-16 BFG AT KO's.
