I'm purchasing a F150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew this afternoon. The dealer has agreed to a tire upgrade from the 255/70/17 Tires on the truck. Can I fit 285/70/17 (33.0 Inch) tires on this truck with out ANY modifications?
This has to be done today. So any help would be great.

Yeah, you can fit 285/70-17's (33x11.50) or 33x12.50-17's on it stock. If you do install one of the 2.5 inch leveling kits, you can fit 35x12.50's (315/70-17) if you mount them on the stock wheels.

So If I do upgrade to the 285/70/17 All Terrain Tire. This truck is leased so if something comes up as a warrenty issue ( Transmission,Ball Joints, etc) will my warrenty be voided and not honered because I placed the larger tire on the truck?

No, they can't legally void your warranty, especially if they install them.

The Dealer will not be installing them now. They have the truck calibrated for the 265/70/17. I want to put the 285/70/17 on at my own will.
I say they can't legally void the warranty because of the Maggnuson/Moss Warranty Act. However, that does not mean that some dealers won't try to. Members here have had very different experiences with dealers. I've heard of dealers trying to void warranties because of one inch taller tires, like you want to install. However, other members have had Ligntning tear up at the drag strip and had them towed in with drag slicks still installed and had no problems at all. I would ask your dealer. If they tell you they will void your warranty, your best bet is to find another dealer. Just be sure to tell them that you know they are violating federal law and you will be sure to tell all of your family and friends about their illegal practices.
The thing is we are in canada...are the laws the same...i have the same truck ordered that colin has. im putting the 2.5inch lift on, with some other small stuff...and just not telling the dealer about it....and take it back off when the truck goes back to the company.
