Question shoes

HI fellas, I'm new to this site.you all got some really nice set of shoes. Right now I have just factory rims but I,m planning on getting new tires this summer and I'm wondering if I need to change my gear ratio? My tires are 265/75/16 and I want to get 295/75/16 bfg's A/T. Also will the new tires fit on factory rims? They,re 16x7 or do I need to get new rims? Any info would be apreciated . thanks.

The 295's will work with the OEM wheels, but they would be better suited for an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel. You are talking about going from a 32 inch tall tire to a 34 inch tall tire. Regearing is always a good idea. Whether or not you have to will depend on your powertrain. You will probably want to if you have a 5.4 liter engine. If you have a V10 or diesel, I doubt you will notice a difference in performance.

Thanks Wandell, I made up my mind and I,ll go for new rims, I like the looks of American Classics Baja and Bfg AT. MY truck is a Diesel. I'll reprogram my speedometer an tranny shift points first and see if I like the power before changing the gears in the diffs. Also I am going to get 2.5 inch leveling kit.
