I Presently own a 2001Kr. I am ready to take the 2005 step.
I would like opinions on ordering the optional tires, audophile
sliding rear window, reverse sensing and 3.73 limited slip. Doesm anyone know when sirius will be avaiable as an option? I also just received my monthly consumers on autos/trucks and 2005 f150 had poor relaibilty , Whats that all about? Its a problem in the drivetrain on 2004 and 2005! How is everyones 05 doing?

My '05 is awesome. I opted for the 6disc audiophile and the 8" sub under the rear seat sounds great. Looks like I may have to return it to have the thing swapped out due to CD skips ... even when the truck isn't moving. Other than that .... the FX4 SCrew is nothing short of awesome.
My opionion:
:no need for dual climate control .... waiste of money.
:must have the 3.73s, not the 3.55s
:must have the 5.4L
:must have the audiophile ... crank it one time at the dealership and you'll see what I mean

My only complaint would be that the truck seems to weigh 500 tons and the 300hp isn't really noticed. My '97 5.4L with pulley kit will smoke my new '05.

 

Get the LSD and the highest number gear availible.

Sirius should be availible for 2006 models.
