fabtech lift w/ 3 in. body NEED HELP
i have a fabtech 6 in lift w a 3 inch body i want to put it on tsl super swampers but i dont know what size will wit any help will be great im on 35s right now i know i can clear a 37 at least also its a pavement pounder never goes of road
if it is a 4x4 you can cranc the torsion bars all the way to clear 38" by 14" if you cut some of the fron valance, if you want to go wider 15.5 you will have to cut some of your lower control arm and cut some of the sheet medal behind the rear of the front fenderwells, this is on a 4x4 i dont know about the 2x4, i got alot of pics and i will go into more depth of what you have to do if you want to clear 38" by 15.5" this is as big as you can go with the right backspacing without doing major cutting any wider and it hits fram and torsion bars at full turn this is all on a 10" wide wheel
yeah i have a 4 wheel drive i just ordered some new torsion keys that are suppose to lift it even more than just cranking the torsion bars i heard u have to run a 4 5/8 '' backspacing on the wheel and at least a 16'' rim. if u can send me pics that would be cool of what to cut
MY FRIENDS KEEP TELLING ME THAT IF I GO WITH A 38X15.5 THAT MY FRONT END IS JUST GONNA FALL APART AND EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BREAK HOW IS YOURS HOLLDING UP I KNOW I NEED TO REGEAR IT DO KNOW WHAT GEARS YET THOUGH. ALSO I BOUGHT FULL THROTTLE TORSION KEYS THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE ABLE TO LIFT THE FRONT A COUPLE MORE IN. ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THAT? THANK YOU FOR ALLT THE HELP THIS IS GREAT
How well it hold up depends a lot on you. How do you plan on using the truck? Tires that large put a lot of stress on suspension and steering components. If the truck is never driven off road, it will obviously last a lot longer than if you abuse it off road (jumping, etc.)
i offroad my truck pretty hard, and it has held up very well, only thing brocken to date is an idler arm, jumping and vehicle is bad and asking for touble

checks in the mail bud. lol sorry to hear that well i ordered my tires and am working on re gearing it they want to do 456 is 488 any better im on road mostly and IS there anything else i should replace while im in there. also how do u like ur add a leaf and pro comp traction bars
4.56 should be fine it will put you 100-200 rpm under stock depending on what gears you got now, what tires did you end up going with before i say what rpm you should be at i need your tires and size, my traction bars are great and a must have if you do alot of offroading with the kinda lift i got, add a leaf worked great it put my rear up just a bit more than my front to give me better vision wile offroading, with the big tires you are going with i would recomend a steering stabilizer a dual if you go over 35", good luck let me know if you need any more info
i have 5" or 5.5 i cant remember wich but it is one of the two i am sure so no 4.5 is not enough, and i will take some pics of where you need to cut this weekend it is not the firewall but on the back part of the front wheel well at the bottom, did i mention that you parking brake cable on the drivers side rear will rub the tire and you will need to make a new bracket for it or just zip tie it to the leaf spring so it dont rub the tire
