Backspacing...

For a 2004 F-150, with a 6" Fabtech, do you really NEED a 5" backspace? On Fabtechs website it says recommended 17x8" rim with 5" backspace.

Would 17x8.5" with 4.5" backspace fit too?

I think it would fit. It will just make the tires stick out a little more.
